Record applications for Paperworld: more than 1,000 exhibitors have already registered

What the future holds: Manufacturers will signal new products and supplies for commercial and private offices in January 2017

'The visionary office and the stationery trends' – the complete product range for the paper, office supplies and stationery industry under one roof

The world’s leading manufacturers of paper, office supplies and solutions, as well as stationery products, educational supplies and gift articles, are getting ready for the future: nine months in advance of the up and coming Paperworld fair, around 1,000 companies from more than 50 countries have already registered as exhibitors. Michael Reichhold, Director of Paperworld, affirms that "this is a new record for applications". Up till the beginning of May, 200 more companies than in the same period last year had decided to use Paperworld, the most important platform in the sector, to introduce their new products and innovations. Many more will follow them in the next weeks and months. This is evidenced by the fact that in past years more than 1,600 exhibitors from 60 countries have showcased their products over the four days of the fair.

Paperworld is of benefit to the more than 36,700 retailers and trade buyers, who come to Frankfurt am Main every year, in order to place large orders for the new season at the beginning of the financial year and in good time after the high-volume Christmas trading period. "We are delighted with this very high interest in the fair. It shows us that the market sees and values the way that the world’s leading trade fair for the paper, office supplies and stationery industry is being systematically further developed, together with its partners in trade and industry", adds Reichhold. This is an incentive for Paperworld’s organisers to create perfect new opportunities for business encounters at a trade fair that is geared towards the future.

New products platform for the office of the future
All that the future has in store for the modern office and for paper and stationery products for private use will be showcased from 28 to 31 January 2017 in eight halls of Frankfurt’s exhibition centre. In tune with the new slogan, 'The visionary office and the stationery trends', the manufacturers who have registered have already signalled innovative solutions for the workplace of tomorrow ('visionary office') and pioneering lifestyle trends for the gift articles, gift wrapping, celebrations and school supplies product ranges ('stationery trends'). Christopher Holtz-Kathan, Director of Holtz Office Support, is already brimming with anticipation: "We are participating again at Paperworld in 2017 because we are very excited about introducing our new products to a broad audience. We are enthusiastic about the products that we are developing and are looking forward to inspiring other people with them as well.  Paperworld is the ideal platform for this." In 2017, Holtz Office Support will be returning to Hall 3.1 as part of the Paperworld Plaza area, with its presentation and moderation aids and equipment. It will be showcasing its products together with other exhibiting brands from the paper, office supplies and stationery industry.

Other companies who have already registered to return to the Paperworld Plaza include: Novus Dahle, Schneider Schreibgeräte, Trodat, Albert Horn, Gutenberg, Jakob Maul and Tesa. Durable’s Director, Horst-Werner Maier-Hunke, is also looking forward to exhibiting at the Frankfurt fair in 2017, with numerous innovations from his office organisation and presentation supplies product range. As he explains: "It’s here that we have the opportunity to meet our customers and trading partners in a very good market environment." The breadth and depth of the products on offer in Frankfurt for use in commercial offices is unparalleled across the world. There is nowhere else where specialist retailers can meet all the established and new manufacturers and compare their innovative solutions with each other. "For us, Paperworld is the ideal means of access to the office trade, the dispatchers, and the online traders and channels, who equip offices and administrative departments", says Hubert Haizmann, Director of Ideal Krug & Priester. He believes that Paperworld is the most important platform for the worldwide distribution of his state-of-the-art office equipment products.

The right choice for all levels of sales and distribution
Paperworld brings together leading German and international buyers from all levels of distribution. They may be international decision-making buyers from the wholesale, foreign and retail trade, from sales sectors such as the food trade, chemists, hypermarkets, and the decorating trade, as well as international buyers in mail order and online trading, and furniture stores. Or they may be traditional wholesalers and drop shippers in the paper, office supplies, and stationery industry, representatives of large trade organisations, high-volume commercial buyers of office materials, and conference and seminar providers. This is corroborated by Dr. Nicole Blum, Director of Lyra-Bleistift-Fabrik: "Paperworld is the most important sector platform for us, because the whole distribution chain is present here. This is why Lyra is exhibiting as part of the FILA group in the pre-school, school and office supplies product segments."

International companies trading in stationery supplies and high-quality stationery products will also get their money’s worth at Paperworld – be they paper, office supplies and stationery businesses, book shops, gift shops and toys shops, or department stores and supermarkets. This is because buyers can find a unique variety of products aligned with the latest lifestyle trends in the high-quality writing instruments and pens, school supplies, greetings cards, stationery, gift items, gift wrapping and small leather goods product segments. The high quality of the visitors and their very positive ordering patterns in recent years also keeps the exhibiting companies happy. "We’ll be taking part again at Paperworld 2017, because the fair has developed into one of the most important fairs for us in recent years", says Marcus Ahrend, Director of Marketing for the gift manufacturer, Troika Germany. These are experiences shared by Uwe Ohnemüller, Sales Manager for Hallmark Cards GmbH, who says that the last three years at Paperworld have been extremely successful for them: "It’s the most important platform for Hallmark and one where we can further intensify our existing partnerships with key customers. We can utilise four exciting days to talk to our customers about new ideas and strategies going forward. Paperworld is very interesting for us in regard to new customers in the specialist retail trade as well." This is also reason enough for companies such as Artoz Papier, Zettler Kalender and TMS International to captivate the buyers at Paperworld with new designs and trending ideas.

This is because a visit to the Frankfurt fair is worthwhile for them for a number of reasons at once: in addition to a future-oriented complementary programme at Paperworld, the Creativeworld, Christmasworld and Floradecora fairs, which are taking place concurrently, offer products that enhance the core product range of these companies in the best, and most profitable, way.

The dates for the four trade fairs are:
Christmasworld 27 – 31 January 2017
Floradecora 27 – 30 January 2017
Paperworld 28 – 31 January 2017
Creativeworld 28 – 31 January 2017
